About the Role:
We believe in promoting from within. Our store managers, district managers, and sales directors all started in the same place: the sales floor.
As Management in Training, you'll gain hands-on experience in all aspects of store operations, with the potential to grow into a management role. Reporting to the Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring efficiency, meeting customer expectations, and maximizing sales potential while learning how to coach, train, and support a team.
Skills You'll Gain:
Customer Experience and Sales:
Exceptional Customer Service: Learn to acknowledge and approach customers the Browns way.
Expert Assistance: Learn to provide exceptional product information and handle inquiries professionally on the cash and selling floors.
Effective Complaint Resolution: Gain the skills to handle complaints respectfully and with the authority to make reasonable exceptions.
Driving Sales: Maximize sales and exceed sales targets through effective strategies.
Day-to-Day Operations:
Performance Tracking: Understand and track store performance metrics in percentages and dollars, sharing results with the team.
Efficient Scheduling and Payroll Administration: Create schedules in advance to meet store needs and handle payroll administration tasks, including sick days, quota adjustments, part-time slips, and days off.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory counts, and maintain accurate records.
Visual Merchandising: Set up and maintain visually appealing product displays, ensuring proper pricing, labeling, and adherence to the visual checklist.
Store Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe front and back store environment for employees and customers, including windows, floors, cash desk, and fixtures.
Coaching, Training, and Support:
Staff Mentoring: Train and mentor staff to achieve goals, improve performance, and foster strong relationships.
Leadership Development: Identify and develop future leaders through targeted training programs.
Continuous Growth: Support the ongoing development of team members.
Adequate Staffing: Ensure sufficient part-time staffing to meet operational needs.
Conflict Resolution: Assist team members in resolving conflicts and maintaining a positive work environment.
What We're Looking For:
Proven sales experience, preferably in retail
Passion for sales and fashion
Excellent communication skills in both French and English
High school diploma or equivalent. A bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field is an asset.
Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
Exceptional customer service skills
Outstanding organizational and multitasking capabilities
